The Daily Texan is the official newspaper for The University of Texas at Austin.

I serve as a general reporter under the sports department. Each semester general reporters are assigned to a specific sport.

 

General reporters are not limited to writing for their assigned sport but have opportunities to pitch feature stories or stories covering other Texas Athletic teams.
